QPS was founded in 2021 with a straightforward idea - deliver plumbing and heating work to a standard that speaks for itself.
Joe started his career as an apprentice at 18, training at Eastleigh College before going on to work at Design Heat in Winchester on large domestic refurbishment projects. After years of developing his skills across every aspect of plumbing and heating, he launched QPS to do things his way - properly, every time.
Today, QPS works across Winchester and Hampshire delivering everything from boiler installations and system design to underfloor heating and full new-build plumbing. In 2024, we secured a contract with Winchester Cathedral and continue to carry out ongoing work across the cathedral grounds - a project we're particularly proud of.
We take genuine pride in neat, well-planned installations. Soldered copper pipework, logical system layouts, tidy plant rooms - the kind of work that looks right and performs for years. Several of our customers have chosen to leave pipework exposed because of how clean it looks. That says everything about the standard we hold ourselves to.
We're Gas Safe registered, G3 certified for unvented hot water cylinders, Vaillant approved installers, and fully insured. But beyond the accreditations, we're a team that turns up when we say we will, communicates clearly throughout the job, and leaves your property spotless when we're done.
Founder & Lead Engineer

Plumbing Engineer
Sam joined QPS in 2023 as Joe's first apprentice, bringing an enthusiasm for the trade that was clear from day one. Trained at Wiltshire College alongside his hands-on work with QPS, Sam has built a strong foundation in both the practical and technical sides of plumbing and heating. He thrives on the variety the job brings - no two days are the same and every project is a chance to develop new skills. From boiler installations and radiator upgrades to full new-build plumbing systems, Sam delivers the same high standard of workmanship across everything he does and shares Joe's commitment to clean installations, clear communication and getting the job done properly.
We never rush a job. Every installation is planned, executed and finished to a standard we're proud to put our name to. Soldered copper pipework, neatly routed runs and systems built to last.
You'll know what's happening, when it's happening, and what it will cost. We return calls promptly, explain things clearly and keep you informed throughout the job.
We treat your property with respect. Work areas are kept tidy throughout and left spotless when we're done. You shouldn't have to clean up after your plumber.
The job doesn't end when we leave. We check in after completion, register warranties on your behalf, and we're always available if you have questions down the line.
